Protection Plans
Portland Volvo's Full Protection Package:
When you buy a new or used vehicle at Portland Volvo we aim to provide you with the best possible ownership experience. In order to do this there are a two things we absolutely must address:
1). We need to sell you a quality product, that we can stand behind.
2). We have to provide a way for you to protect your investment.
Fortunately for us, Volvo makes the first item very easy. Thankfully we are able to offer a selection of protection products which we call: the Full Protection Package. Life happens whether or not we're prepared for it, so why not plan ahead?
Most manufacturer's corrosion warranties cover defects in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Environmental conditions that are beyond manufacturers control like tree sap, bird drippings acid rain, road salt, interior stains, etc are normally not the manufacturers responsibility. The Full Protection Package wraps around the manufacturer's warranty and gives you coverage for the most common forms of environmental damage, as well as other common motor vehicle mishaps.
The Full Protection Package consists of 3 items, which can be mixed and matched through 3 levels of coverage.

Paint Protection: Against fading, oxidation, or loss of gloss caused by acid rain, road and sea salts, insects including love bugs (Plecia Nearctic), bird droppings, hard water spots, tree sap, and spray paint.
Interior Protection: Against stains resulting from normal spills of beverages, food products, oil, or water based liquids. Examples of the above include but are not limited to soft drinks, coffee, milk, fast foods, ice cream, baby food, and chewing gum. In addition, this guaranty covers staining caused by urine, crayons, lipstick, make-up, blood and vomit.
Rental Car Coverage: In addition, the provider, "Ethos Group, Inc." will reimburse you for a rental car at the rate of up to $30.00 per day for up to 5 days.

Covers the cost of any repair or replacement of tires, wheels, and valve stems caused by road hazards such as metal, nails, blow outs, pot holes, and glass. Included is 24 hour roadside assistance in the event of a flat or vehicle disablement due to road hazard.*
Dent & Ding Protection
A service plan that covers dents, dings, and creases on the hood, trunk, doors, fenders and quarter panels. Select Protection is available to be transferred if the vehicle is sold.*

Key Replacement
In the event a covered key is lost, stolen, or destroyed, You are eligible for reimbursement for (1) replacement key and remote (if remote is also lost, stolen, or destroyed) up to, but not to exceed, $500.00. During the term of this contract there is a maximum (1) use per any given twelve (12) months.
