Hi there,
My name is Mark and I'm a master parts technician here in our parts department. I came to work at Portland Volvo over twelve years ago. My prior twenty-two years of experience managing automotive parts stores gave me a great foundation, and base of knowledge to draw from. Once here, I began the process of educating myself with the Volvo product... a process that has never ended. Volvo continues to lead the industry with a very comprehensive training agenda, one that keeps me up to date with new technology integrated into their cars and all the great accessories they offer for each model.
When I'm not behind the parts counter, I can probably be found working on my home, which is over a hundred years old. I'm working room by room to ready it for it's next hundred years. My wife Leslie is an avid gardener at home and as part of the Gorham Garden Club. If I'm not swinging a hammer or shoveling dirt for Leslie, I'm hiding-out on the third floor enjoying my vinyl collection that numbers over four hundred albums! During the summer Leslie and I spend time at Sebago Lake relaxing in the sun, and enjoying the refreshing water.
Working here at Portland Volvo has been very rewarding. It's a locally owned business where you feel that you're not just a number, but a contributing partner. In the process of solving your parts needs I've met some very interesting people and the people that I work with are much more than coworkers. So next time you need parts for your Volvo think of me.
