Portland Volvo Cars has been recognized as the 2021 Dealer of the Year by DealerRater!
DealerRater's Dealer of the Year Award Program recognizes a select number of car dealerships throughout the United States and Canada for outstanding customer satisfaction as expressed through customers' online reviews posted on DealerRater.
After hearing news of the award, Matt DiBiase, General Manager of Portland Volvo Cars, said: "Thank you to all of our customers and guests who continue to give their feedback - both good and bad. Your stories and reviews confirm that our Passion for Exceptional Service, which expresses our commitment to satisfying each and every customer at every touch point, is working, and when we fall short they help us to learn from our mistakes."
"I'm even more proud that we've achieved this honor for the third time!" DiBiase added. Portland Volvo Cars previously won the award in 2016 and 2019.
The Dealer of the Year Awards is given to car dealerships that achieve the highest PowerScore™ in their brand category, both at national and state/provincial levels.
Each dealership's PowerScore is calculated using a Bayesian algorithm that considers the dealership's average DealerRater star rating as well as the total number of reviews written about the dealership during that calendar year.
To be considered for the Dealer of the Year Awards a dealership must meet a strict criteria, including a Minimum of 25 reviews on DealerRater for the calendar year, an Average minimum star rating of 4.0 on DealerRater, with 5.0 as the highest possible rating, At least one review on DealerRater per quarter during the calendar year, and more.
The Consumer Satisfaction Award, which Portland Volvo Cars also won, represents an expansion of DealerRater's annual recognition program for top car dealerships in the U.S. and Canada. Consumer Satisfaction Award recipients must meet the same requirements as the Dealer of the Year program as described above, plus the following:
Top 10% U.S. franchise dealers based on their PowerScore
Top U.S. used car dealerships based on their PowerScore
Top Canadian car dealerships based on their PowerScore
Current Dealer of the Year Award recipients are also eligible to receive the Consumer Satisfaction
