Volvo Cars is bringing Apple Music directly into the driving experience, giving customers seamless access to their favorite music, playlists and live radio. The new Volvo EX60 will feature Apple Music natively integrated from the start, while the service is also being introduced to more than two million existing Volvo vehicles through an over-the-air software update.
Music is an important part of the driving experience, and Volvo Cars is making it easier than ever to enjoy it on the road. With Apple Music now being integrated into Volvo vehicles, drivers can access more than 100 million songs, ad-free, directly from the vehicle's infotainment system.
Whether it's an upbeat playlist for the morning commute or something more relaxing for a late-night drive, drivers can access their favorite music without needing to connect their phone or rely on a separate device.
Apple Music Comes to the Volvo EX60 and EX90
The Volvo EX60 will feature Apple Music natively integrated when the first customer vehicles are delivered this summer. Apple Music is also being introduced to more than two million existing Volvo vehicles through an over-the-air software update, making the experience available to even more Volvo drivers.
Getting started is simple. Customers can sign in with their Apple account to access their existing songs, playlists and music library, along with Apple Music's live radio offerings. Music can be controlled using the vehicle's touchscreen or voice commands, helping drivers keep their attention focused on the road.
New Apple Music subscribers can also sign up and bring their playlists and music libraries with them from other services.
Apple Music Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos
For drivers of the Volvo EX60 and EX90 equipped with the optional Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, Apple Music takes the listening experience even further with Spatial Audio powered by Dolby Atmos technology.
Spatial Audio creates a more immersive, three-dimensional listening experience that surrounds occupants with music and vocals. Rather than simply hearing the music from speakers around the cabin, listeners are placed at the center of the soundstage, creating an experience designed to feel more like being at a live performance.
