The Polish premiere of the Volvo EX60 and Volvo EX60 Cross Country was not only a showcase for new models but also a symbol of the next stage in the development of Volvo Cars – a brand that for almost a century has been creating cars based on safety, Scandinavian design, and technologies that respond to real-world needs. In Warsaw, guests could see how Volvo's heritage meets modern electromobility and solutions defining the future of the automotive industry.
The new Volvo EX60 was designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle and ushers in a new technological chapter for the brand. The model offers a range of up to 810 km (WLTP), meaning it can travel further than the distance from Kraków to GdaÅ„sk or BiaÅ‚ystok to WrocÅ‚aw without needing to recharge. Thanks to its 800V architecture, the car can regain approximately 340 km of range in just 10 minutes of DC charging, while advanced algorithms and the new HuginCore technology architecture manage energy. This system combines Volvo's proprietary software with efficient solutions from NVIDIA and Qualcomm.
The Volvo EX60 is also the first model based on the new SPA3 platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles. The platform provides greater scalability for the brand's future models, while the use of megacasting technology and cell-to-body construction allows for increased body stiffness, reduced vehicle weight, and even better utilization of interior space. Despite its compact proportions, the EX60 offers a spaciousness similar to the Volvo XC90, while remaining true to the Scandinavian aesthetic and Volvo's signature approach to premium design.

Safety solutions took center stage at the launch – an area that has been a cornerstone of Volvo's philosophy for decades. The Volvo EX60 debuts with new multi-adaptive seatbelts, which adjust the level of protection to the occupant's characteristics and the course of the accident. This is a natural evolution of technology pioneered by Volvo in 1959 with the introduction of three-point seatbelts, changing standards for driver and passenger protection worldwide. Engineers at the Volvo Tech Hub in Krakow also worked on the new solution, emphasizing the importance of the Polish team in the development of the brand's global safety technologies.
During the event, Arek Nowiński and Monika Jabłonka-Ziętek discussed the technology behind the new models and the strategic importance of the Volvo EX60 for the brand's future. Even before its official launch, interest in the car exceeded internal sales targets, confirming that the new electric SUV has the potential to become one of Volvo Cars' most important models in the coming years.
