XC90 Safety Technology
Safety Assistance is the umbrella term for all collision avoidance functionalities (e.g., Collision Warning; Collision Avoidance; Lane Keeping Aid).Â
Driver Awareness features are like a "co-pilot" who is watching out for potentially dangerous situations and ready to intervene if necessary (e.g., Blind Spot Information System with Steer Assist; Cross Traffic Alert with Auto Brake).Â
Driver Assistance features include Pilot Assist with Adaptive Cruise Control, and the optional Head-Up Display (HUD).
Connected Safety features are based on cloud connectivity and designed to share information with other Volvo connected cars (e.g., Slippery Road Alert, Hazard Light Alert). Standard on all Volvo vehicles.Â
